A Las Vegas + Fitness Mash-up Weekend

As we begin to feel the bite of winter breeze in the Vegas valley, the roaring fitness world picks up the pace as tourists and locals alike unite to get focused on their fitness.

The Toyota Rock ’n’ Roll Marathon hosted its 4th-annual event in Las Vegas on November 10th and 11th pulling in over 30,000 participants from around the world. Local businesses jumped on the support bandwagon to show extra love to the weekend’s runners. Lululemon Athletica at Fashion Show Mall and The Forum shops provided a DJ and photo booth along with treats for shoppers picking out their fit-gear. For runners looking for pre or post R and R, Canyon Ranch Spa offered a number of specials on services throughout the weekend. Restaurants and venues along strip that provided runner perks included Park MGM, Excalibur, Mandalay Bay, Cirque du Soleil and Hakkasan Nightclub hosting the official after party to close the weekend with a bang.

Lastly, a well-known fitness giant made its debut in the Las Vegas market on Saturday, November 10th. The long-anticipated opening Soul Cycle, located at the Shops at Wynn Plaza, opened its doors to the community. Revealing a cycling studio like no other in the world,  and the first ‘concept studio’ by the brand, the Soul Cycle team announced that this studio will be their new flagship location featuring a massive retail and check-in, donning 50 bikes and ultra-modern nightclub lighting with an LED screen displaying technicolor visuals that bump to the beat of the music. Soul Cycle is the first boutique fitness studio to break ground on the Las Vegas strip and if their reputation precedes them, they will fit right it. The party never stops, even while you are getting your sweat-on in Las Vegas.
